Our Down Comforters promote better rest and health. A night's sleep beneath a genuine goose down comforter is like entering paradise. Unlike many synthetic fibers, down is breathable, never clammy, & keeps your sleep temperature more even. Down offers warmth without heavy weight for greater comfort & better circulation. Down is the light, inner plumage of water fowl including geese and ducks. Down ISN'T feather! Down is soft, fluffy, & contains no feather quill. Feather is firm, flat, heavy & has a pointed quill shaft. Some retailers advertise their 95% feather comforters as "down" but don't be fooled! Not only are feather comforters heavy & poky, but they can't provide the exceptional insulation of a real down comforter. At Supercomfort.com, we only sell genuine, hypoallergenic down comforters. We offer them from leading manufacturers including Pacific Coast®, Phoenix Down, St. Geneve, Daniadown, and Light Feather Goose Down. Our comforters when squeezed reveal the soft, fluffy feel of real down. When making your selection, carefully consider fill power. Fill power is commonly misunderstood, but simply refers to the volume, or number of cubic inches, that 1 ounce of down occupies. Higher fill power equals higher quality & loft per ounce. Department stores commonly sell 500 fill power comforters as excellent but they're actually low quality. We recommend our prime to premium European & Hungarian down with 650-800 fill power. If you want the fluffiest, best down comforter, you'll need both higher fill power and fill weight. Fill weight is the number of ounces of down. For example, a queen down comforter with 750 fill power down & 30 oz fill weight is fluffier & warmer than a 600 fill power comforter with the same fill weight, but not as fluffy as one that has 750 fill power & 42 oz fill weight.
